Writing curriculum for us

Do you think you have what it takes to write curriculum for TOUCH Publications? We think so!

We are accepting manuscripts for additional topics for the Community Life series of small group agendas.

Before you contact us, you'll need to know the following about our process, what we expect of authors, what our authors expect from us:

• We are a ministry who publishes, not a publisher. Each resource we print must fit within our missional direction as a ministry. We do not publish devotional books or Bible studies (the agendas are actually quite different from typical small group Bible study guides or Sunday School curriculum).

• All TOUCH authors are in full agreement with our statement of faith.

• We work in a collaboration with each author to shape the content, title and subtitle. In other words, remain flexible about your written work.

• We choose the artwork for the cover and the inside pages with input from the author. Cover art is 80% marketing and 20% aesthetics.

• While it usually takes 4-6 months to publish work after the final, polished manuscript has been submitted, the process can take more than a year. The publishing process requires patience.

• Copyrights are held by our authors. However, under contract, the author assigns exclusive rights for sales and distribution to TOUCH Publications. Per the contract, if the book is out of print for a period of six months, the rights are returned to the author.

• A 15% royalty is paid to the author each quarter of the calendar year. This percentage is calculated on the actual sale price of the book.

• We review every manuscript we receive. However, we do not publish each written work submitted to us.

Step one...
If you do not have personal experience using the existing books in this curriculum series, this must become your first priority. Through leading (or participating) in a small group and applying the content of at least two of the books, you will experience the unique differences that make this series stand alone in an endless field of Bible studies.

Step two...
Send an email to randall (at) touchusa (dot) org with the following:
a. Indicate that you've personally used the curriculum and share why your topic is important for a small group to study, embrace and live out.
b. Provide titles for six lessons and the scripture for each lesson.
c. Your denominational affiliation or background.

Topics already in print or that will be in print soon:
• Prayer
• Community
• Evangelism
• Mentoring and Discipleship
• Launching a New Group
• Forgiveness
• Spiritual Freedom from Strongholds
• Spiritual Gifts

Please ensure your topic is not one of the above or similar in practical application.

Step three...
We will reply to you promptly and begin a dialog about working together, the project at hand, and ask you for references we can freely contact. [Please note that we may request that you submit the first agenda for your guide, complete with a devotional and the "between-the-meeting" options for the group before we approve the project.]

Step four...
We supply you with an author's contract to sign and return to us and we set a publication date!
